Office Equipment Field Trials

From time to time CharisCo Limited undertakes field trials (sometimes also known as Customer Acceptance Trials) on behalf of office equipment manufacturers.

The purpose of these programs may be to test the device, in a real life usage environment, for:
-> market readiness
-> customer acceptance
-> durability
-> reliability
or to:
-> identify customer requirements for future product development

In general, these programs are structured as follows:
-> CharisCo recruits participants
-> Manufacturer supplies equipment for testing over a specified period
-> Participant uses device as main office device for that period
-> Participant completes (by internet questionnaire):
- --> One installation survey
- --> One performance survey
- --> One final assessment survey
-> Participant attends one focus group (or teleconference)
-> Participant relays feedback to CharisCo on a twice weekly basis

For its part, the manufacturer offers an incentive to the participant for involvement in the field trials. In some instances this incentive may be retention of the device itself. The participant will always know the nature of the incentive before committing to involvement in the field trials.

Because of the nature of the field trials, and usually the need for the participant to attend a focus group meeting, the participants are generally drawn from companies and individuals within the UK's Northern and Western Home Counties. However, we have undertaken field trials that include participants in Paris, France, and southern Germany and have to date placed almost 300 printers and fax machines with participants, all of which have been retained as thanks for participation.

If you are not located in these regions and would like to submit an application anyway, in the hope that a program may come along that only requires teleconferences, we would be very pleased to receive your details. We must stress that we are not running these programs continually and that there can be no guarantee that your application will be taken up.

However, we do guarantee that your details will never be passed to another individual or company and will only be used to contact you in the event that we are running a suitable field trial program or we have other related information that we believe would be of specific interest to you.
